About this collection

This collection consists of links to digitized audio recordings of the North Carolina Senate daily legislative sessions from the North Carolina General Assembly. The original recordings are part of the Senate audio record series held at the State Archives of North Carolina and contain the official audio records of the chamber’s daily floor debates.

Recordings available online are:

  • 2006 – legislative days 129 through 176
  • 2007/2008 biennium – legislative days 001 through 154
  • 2009/2010 biennium – legislative days 001 through 148
  • 2011/2012 biennium - legislative days 001 through 137

Listening copies of these materials are hosted through the Internet Archive but indexed in this online collection. The 2007 legislative day 026 took place at East Carolina University and was recorded on a cassette tape. It is not currently available online.
